Bishop Bell Catering

Welcome to Bishop Bell Quality Catering. We hope you will find the menu and price lists helpful when considering your child’s lunch needs.
Since we have taken the catering in-house, we use only fresh meat, fresh vegetables and fruit in our Café and every item is prepared on the premises, being sourced from local suppliers.
The daily balanced menu meets all government requirements and is both nutritious and helps fulfil part of the five-a-day targets. We serve a roast lunch twice a week and our pasta and jacket potato fillings are changed daily. There is a vast selection of sandwiches and baguettes available. Furthermore, all drinks on offer conform to government guidelines.
We have introduced a Pre-payment Card that provides excellent value for money and removes the need to search for cash on a daily basis. You also have the peace of mind that the money is spent on quality food. There are two options: one costs £2.00 and provides options of a main meal and a drink; the second costs £2.50 and also gives a dessert option. These are available to purchase from Visitor Reception or the Café.
We have a breakfast club from 8.00am to 8:30am daily with the star attraction being the £1 ‘breakfast special’ which would include four of the following items: sausage, bacon, beans, scrambled egg and toast. In addition, fresh fruit salad, fruit and yogurt are always available. Please see our breakfast menu for more information. Pupils can pre-order lunch requirements and obtain a pre-payment card during breakfast club.
The Catering Department are also very happy to offer birthday parties for pupils and friends at lunchtime. The birthday pupil has a brightly decorated table with balloons, banners and sprinkles. They can invite friends to join them on their reserved tables. The price is £2.00 per pupil ( minimum party of 5) and includes a slice of birthday cake and a sparkling drink for invited guests. Payment must be received in advance.

We run themed days to enable pupils to try different foods from around the world. Other days are held in recognition of special events.
All income is ploughed back into the catering function to maintain standards and safety. All our catering staff are trained in food preparation and have attended food safety and hygiene courses and receive ongoing training for your complete peace of mind.
Future trials/projects will include a balanced packed lunch which, again, will meet the required nutritional standards and encourage your child to eat a healthy diet. We are also planning to install a cashless system and on-line payment.
We are constantly mindful that we need to maintain and improve our service, so a comments box is kept in the Café to obtain feedback on how we can improve our catering provision. Everyone is encouraged to use this.
Please use the 'Contact Form' for any information regarding our catering facilities, both on and off site.
